As one of the founding members of Trade Assist's Wellington branch, Florian has come full circle, returning to his home turf as a Recruitment Consultant after progressing through Senior Resourcer in Hawke's Bay. Having originally moved to New Zealand and based himself in Wellington, he knows firsthand what it's like to navigate a new country, and that gives him a genuine edge when it comes to supporting candidates who are doing the same.

He understands what people are going through when they're looking for work, the uncertainty, the questions, the need to feel like someone's in their corner. That's why he puts real weight on getting the onboarding phase right, because that first impression shapes everything.

Florian stays well connected on the ground with candidates and site teams alike, picks up on issues early, and genuinely cares about the day-to-day experience of the people he works with. For him, a good placement isn't just about filling a role - it's about making sure the person in that role is in the right place for them.
