overview
At Trade Assist, our people are our business. We recognise the hard work, skill, and loyalty that you bring to our business and want to acknowledge and reward your contribution to the Trade Assist family. This employee benefits programme is intended to offer you benefits and exclusive rewards that celebrate your role here.
This document sets out:
What you need to do to qualify for benefits under the employee benefits programme; and
The nature of those benefits; and
Any relevant terms and conditions.
From time to time, the benefits available under this programme may change, based on changes of terms by our suppliers, new benefits that may become available, or other business changes. When that happens, a new employee benefits programme document will be issued (uploaded to our website) and will take effect from the day of the issue.
All benefits are granted at Trade Assist’s discretion and do not form part of your employment agreement.
Each benefit is a separate benefit, and to be eligible you must:
Meet the general eligibility criteria set out in this document; and
Meet the specific eligibility criteria for the specific benefit.
If you have any questions regarding your eligibility, please contact us straight away.
PART A – GENERAL TERMS
1. DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of these benefits:
Commencement Date. The date for commencement of the employee benefits programme is 21 November 2022. The period of assessment of an employee’s eligibility will commence from the date they start employment with Trade Assist or the commencement date of the program, whichever is the latter.
Eligible Employee. An employee will be considered an Eligible Employee for the period that starts when they meet all the Eligibility Criteria in this document and ceases when the employee no longer meets one or more of the Eligibility Criteria.
Continuous Full-time Employment. For the purposes of this employee benefits programme, to be in Continuous Full-time Employment an employee must have worked for and been paid by Trade Assist for at least four weeks for at least an average of 30 hours per week in the period in which they seek to establish that they are in Continuous Full-time Employment.
Each benefit will require an employee to have maintained their Continuous Full-time Employment status for the period of time prescribed for that benefit.
An employee will cease to maintain their Continuous Full-time Employment status if the average of their weekly hours worked covering their previous four previous weekly pay periods falls below 30 hours per week.
The calculation will exclude (an employee will not be penalised for) approved holidays and leave that an employee is entitled to, calculated at their average daily hours.
Continuous Full-time Employment cannot be claimed by aggregating shorter periods of employment. If the employee ceases to be in Continuous Full-time Employment, but subsequently returns to Continuous Full-time Employment, the duration of any prior periods of Continuous Full-time Employment will not be considered. Only the most recent period of Continuous Full-time Employment will be considered when calculating the duration of Continuous Full-time Employment and the date from when the employee begins Eligible Employee, or the Commencement Date, whichever is the latter.
If an employee is on a casual employment basis and/or Trade Assist is not able to or does not offer sufficient hours of work required to maintain an average above 30 hours per week, the employee's Continuous Full-time Employment status will cease, with no recourse to Trade Assist.
2. PROGRAMME ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

When an employee meets the benefit specific eligibility criteria, the employee must make an application to Trade Assist for the relevant benefit and comply with the onboarding requirements of Trade Assist and the relevant third-party provider.
