Here's exactly what happens after you register.
No surprises. From your first contact to your first shift — this is the process.
Most people are placed within a week of registering.
The registration process is quick and straightforward. Once we have your details, certifications and availability, we match you to suitable roles. For common roles — general labourer, forklift operator, warehouse hand — most of our registered candidates are placed within a week. For specialist roles, it depends on what's available in your area. We'll always be straight with you about what we have and what the timeline looks like.

Frequently asked questions.
How long does the registration process take?
The online form takes about 10 minutes. The phone call from our consultant takes another 15 to 20. Drug test results usually come back the same day.
What if I fail the drug test?
We can't place you. You can reapply after a set period once you're clear. Be upfront with us — it's better to discuss it before we go through the process.
Do I need to come into a branch in person?
Not always — we can complete much of the process by phone and online. For some roles and locations, an in-person meeting at the branch may be required.
Will Trade Assist tell me why I wasn't placed?
Yes — if we're not placing you, we'll tell you why and what might change that. We'd rather be straight with you than leave you guessing.
