Andrew is our South Island Regional Manager at Trade Assist and has been an integral part of the company’s journey since its early days. Originally from the UK, Andrew saw an incredible opportunity to live and work in New Zealand where he has family ties. He embraced this adventure without hesitation and the cultural shift has significantly enhanced his work-life balance, deepening his passion for his career.

Before joining Trade Assist, Andrew gained over ten years of experience in warehousing operations and management, working with globally recognised retail brands in the UK. When he joined the team, his expertise naturally aligned with the warehousing and logistics sectors. Adapting quickly to the recruitment world, Andrew secured high-volume contracts with some of the world’s leading brands – relationships that Trade Assist continues to nurture to this day.

As his role evolved, Andrew expanded his focus to encompass construction, civil, trades, manufacturing, transport and white-collar sectors, providing high-level staffing solutions across a diverse range of industries. His ability to genuinely connect with both clients and candidates, coupled with his results-driven mindset, saw him promoted to Christchurch Branch Manager within a few years. Not long after, Andrew stepped into his current role as South Island Regional Manager.

Andrew is known for his proactive attitude and unwavering commitment to self-development. He finds immense satisfaction in seeing others grow and succeed, which he considers the most rewarding aspect of his role. A firm believer that the right mindset is the key to unlocking both personal and professional opportunities, Andrew inspires his team to approach every challenge with positivity and purpose.
