Mental Health Awareness Week

Community is... what we create together.
The 2024 Mental Health Awareness Week theme was "Community is... what we create together". We supported this powerful message by participating in the daily challenges and setting an example as a team.
Manaaki | Monday - Help someone in a small but meaningful way.
Even one simple act, like Thaís getting something above reach for Toya, can start a chain reaction of kindness.
Tautoko | Tuesday - Give a shout-out to a community organisation.
Our shout-out went to MATES In Construction NZ as they're an evidence-based workplace suicide prevention model developed to reduce high suicide rates in the NZ construction industry.
Whānau | Wednesday - Share a mid-week boost.
Whether your greeting is a fist bump, a high-five or a big hug, a feel-good mid-week boost motivates the team to keep moving forward.
Tūhono | Thursday - Support a local business like your favourite cafe!
Coffee Embassy Espresso Bar is one of our favourite cafés near the Christchurch HQ. A 5-minute walk will get us a fine cup of coffee and tasty baked goods.
Whakawhetai | Friday - Spread some good vibes by showing your gratitude.
We surprised Caroline our Health, Safety & People Co-Ordinator, with a sweet message. She encouraged the team to participate in this meaningful campaign. She always brings so much joy and laughter into the office, and that's worth celebrating.
10 Simple Questions to Check-In
We also checked in with our fellow candidates and internal staff through a survey of 10 simple questions. The survey encouraged participants to take a moment during their busy schedules to reflect on themselves and their surroundings. View Survey >>
