Inspiring Future Workforce - Our Christchurch Team Hits the Road

Helping young Kiwis explore next steps in their careers.

Over the past few weeks, our Christchurch team has been out and about, connecting with the next generation of young Kiwis at two fantastic local events, the Trades Expo at Ara Institute of Canterbury and Future Fest at Rolleston College.

We kicked things off at Ara’s Trades Career Expo, where Tony and Thaís got chatting with students. They shared insights into the wide range of industries we work with here at Trade Assist and talked about how we support people at the start of their careers. A huge thanks to Andrew, Rebecca and Kitty for setting up a stand that really stood out. And the lolly jar competition was a hit too (any guesses on how heavy it was?).

Rolleston College - Future Fest
Next stop was Rolleston College for their annual Future Fest. This event is always a favourite on our calendar. Deb and Rebecca attended the event on behalf of Trade Assist flag this time, joining over 40 other exhibitors. It was a brilliant opportunity to speak with students, answer questions and open up conversations about different career paths they might not have thought about before.We’re proud to be part of events like these. They’re not just about recruitment, they’re about inspiring young people to explore what’s possible, make informed choices and see that there’s more than one way to build a great future.
