The Gut Foundation All Sports Pro-Am Golf Day

The last golf event of the season.
Our team had the privilege of participating in The Gut Foundation's Hadlee Hill Memorial Cup All Sports Pro-Am Golf Day. A gutsy event that brought together sports enthusiasts and supporters for a meaningful cause. The day was filled with excitement, fun challenges and a shared effort to raise awareness and funds for The Gut Foundation.
The Origin of The Gut Foundation
The Gut Foundation has a rich history and a unique connection with New Zealand sports legends. Founded in 1993 by Tom P. George and his close mates Walter Hadlee (NZ Cricket Team Captain), Stan 'Tiny' Hill (All Black) and Russell Thomas (All Blacks Manager), the foundation continues to build on the legacy of continuing to form relationships with New Zealand sports legends. The Gut Foundation's annual All Sports Pro-Am Golf Day is a cherished tradition, bringing people together to support their vital work in improving gut health for Kiwis.
Our Putting Game Contribution
Trade Assist proudly supported the event with a fun and creative putting game set up by the main entrance. Aptly named "Don't Stick This in Your Colon", the game challenged players to putt from point A to point B three times - first using a mini putter, then a mini driver and finally the mighty leaf blower. It was a hit among participants, adding a touch of humour and excitement leading up to the main event.
Celebrating Our Victory
Thunder and rain didn't stop us, as the highlight of the day was undoubtedly our team's win of the prestigious Hadlee Hill Memorial Cup! Chris and Andrew formed an unbeatable team alongside one of our long-time clients and rugby superstar Corey Flynn. We're honoured to have our name on the cup and proud to support the incredible work The Gut Foundation does to ensure healthier futures for New Zealanders.
